Bio:

Background:

In the 1942 a being came crashing to Earth in the American southwest. This being was found and quarantined unconscious in a recently built secret military installation. It lay dormant but observed for about ten years during which it defied autopsy or experimentation because of an impenetrable blue energy that surrounded the being. An off the books government agency known as Division 6 was formed to study and harness this being for the good of the country. In 1952 it woke up. While it was conscious it was also completely catatonic and suffering from a severe form of amnesia. One researcher began to attempt to educate the creature as one would an infant. It was a slow process, but after a decade of work it learned and could respond. It was even able to learn English. Testing of the creatures abilities began at this stage and continue to this day. In 50 years of testing, the limits of the energy field that surround the being have not been found, and the subject has been termed Project Invictus. It seems to feel some gratitude for its rehabilitation and to be pliant to the orders of Division 6. With the recent emergence of other beings of spectacular power the board of directors has decided to allow Project Invictus to join the Global Defense League. Project Invictus has recently decided to change its designation to Gigaton Man in the style of some other members of this metahuman organization.

Personality:

Gigaton Man is an immensely powerful alien being that arrived on earth with no knowledge at all. It took many years for it to learn to communicate and build up a base knowledge that allowed it to interact. Consequently it now behaves with a mixture of innocence, curiosity, and ignorance. It is deeply loyal to the group that nursed it back to its current level of health and vigously defends its new home. Until recently this usually came in the form of moving large object on collision course for earth or preventing particularly destructive earthquakes. In order to curb what amounted to an infant mind with god like power Dr. Miller and his daughter Mary Miller have engineered a psychological profile with archetypal heroic morals and a fear of becoming a rampaging monster.

Powers/Tactics:

Gigaton Man is surround by a tactile telekinetic field of limiltless strength, It took many years to learn to limit its strength so as to not destroy much of the world around it. It has no concept of defense because it has never felt pain until a bout with Legion when testing the limits of its powers. Because of its work with Dr. Miller, Gigaton Man subconsciously limits its strength in combat.

Quote:

Lightning Lord, “How much can you pick up?”
Gigaton, “I don’t know”
Lightning Lord, “Why not?”
Gigaton, “I have never found anything I couldn’t lift”
